Not an overly exciting day. Just bussed from Chivay to Puno. I did take nearly 300 pictures on the bus ride, passed through some very beautiful countryside. But all those pictures are on my dslr which is in my hotel room (I’m currently in a restaurant)

So one thing I haven’t shown yet. Until now I’ve just been showing pictures of the plaza de Armas in all the little towns in Peru. The plaza is a communal gathering place for these towns, and as such they’re shown a lot of love. Once you get away from the plaza the towns look like this:

I personally think there’s some beauty there, but I don’t know how exactly to define or describe it.

Also, glad I got twitchy enough to book a second bus ticket. The bus I had originally booked was definitely a no show.

But, made it to Puno!

This is my last night in Peru. Tomorrow I take a colectivo to a town called Yunguyo and from there walk across the border to khasini, Bolivia, and hop another colectivo from there to Copacabana on the Bolivian shore of lake Titicaca.

Still have some unanswered questions about this crossing, but I’ll muddle through. And we’ll see if they confiscate the honey.
